Dude, product review videos are hard. Mad respect to tech YouTubers out there. In this video, I discuss the merits of the GH5 vs the A7III and all of its other competitors. The GH5 is a powerhouse for video with its flip out screen, ergonomics, and amazing image quality. It is feature packed and I still primarily use it for my main video camera for professional and casual work.

I'm back with another project! For those of you following me, I will have a quick breakdown of how I shot this.

Because I was also attending as a guest, I kept my kit as minimal as possible. I found that the balance of high ISO capabilities of the A7III and the range of the Sony 24-105f4 lens allowed me to only use one lens but also get some telephoto shots.

Because my light was somewhat minimal, I was able to use the Zhiyun Weebill lab for stabilization. The 24-105 f4 balances on the Weebill lab, but will fail at around 70mm to 105mm. Because the Sony A7III has IBIS and the lens has OSS, I just kept my telephoto shots as stationary and that worked out well.

In regards to the cinematography, I wanted to keep it light this trip. I only used two lenses - the 24-105 and the 55 1.8. I probably could have made it with jus the one 24-105, though. It's an extremely sharp, versatile lens. I brought the prime just in case I needed it for low light. I ended up not needing it that much, but it's definitely a light and easy lens to pack regardless. I decided not to carry a gimbal on this trip because gimbals are way too annoying to carry and set up when you're on vacation, in my opinion. I actually shot a lot of footage on this trip with my new iPhone XS. A few of those clips made it to the final edit.. can you tell which shots were iPhone?

As a +1, I get to attend these fancy media events and tastings. This week, we went to Atomic Creamery in Newport to try out all of their custom ice cream flavors and offerings. IT WAS SO DELICIOUS.
